1. Conditions for Refund Eligibility
Refund requests are processed only under the following conditions:
- The customer has contacted Flyobird.com to cancel and request a refund.
- The airline fare rules allow for a refund.
- The traveler did not miss the flight (i.e., is not marked as a “no-show”).
- The supplier or airline has approved a waiver for cancellation fees.
While we aim to simplify the process, all refund approvals are subject to airline rules and supplier consent.
2. Refund Processing Time
Although we cannot guarantee exact timelines, refunds generally take 60 to 90 days to process from the time of request until the amount is credited to your original form of payment. Timing may vary depending on the airline and your financial institution.
3. Refund Request Procedure
Once you initiate a cancellation through our support team:
- You’ll receive an acknowledgment email from Flyobird.com.
- This does not confirm a refund—only that your request has been submitted.
- Our team will coordinate with the airline or supplier to obtain a cancellation fee waiver, where possible.
- If a refund is approved, you will be notified, and the funds will be processed accordingly.
Please note:
- Service and convenience fees are non-refundable.
- Refund processing fees may apply per passenger and per ticket.
- If the airline waives fees, we will pass on the benefit to you.
4. Refunds Within 24 Hours of Departure
For cancellations made within 24 hours prior to departure, Flyobird.com will process refund requests based on the airline’s specific cancellation and refund policies.
If fare or itinerary errors occur during booking, and the fare increases before we complete the reservation, you’ll have two options:
- Approve and pay the difference
- Cancel the booking and receive a refund

5. Cancellation Timeline & Reimbursement
- Cancellations within the void period (typically within 24 hours of booking) may be refunded within 24–72 business hours.
- For cancellations after the void period, refunds typically take 4–5 business weeks, depending on airline policy and bank processing times.
- Over-refunded amounts must be returned to Flyobird.com if credited in error.
6. Exchange and Change Policy
All confirmed bookings are non-refundable, but may be eligible for exchange based on airline policy.
- Partially used tickets cannot be canceled or refunded.
- Non-refundable tickets may be exchanged at a higher fare only (never at a lower fare).
- Additional charges such as penalties, fare difference, and our service fee will apply.
Travelers must verify the expiration date of airline-issued credit, which is usually valid for a limited time.
7. Changes & Rebooking
Changes to confirmed travel itineraries (such as date, route, or city) are subject to airline approval and may incur:
- Airline penalties
- Fare difference
- Flyobird.com exchange or modification fee
We recommend contacting Flyobird.com directly for any changes rather than going through the airline, as doing so may limit our ability to assist or refund you.
Estimated wait time for schedule modifications may be up to 72 hours.
8. Medical or Emergency Situations
If you are unable to travel due to a medical condition and your ticket is refundable:
- You may cancel and receive a refund (subject to airline penalties and our service fee).
- If the ticket is changeable, you may rebook at a later date, again subject to applicable airline and service fees.
In some cases, tickets may be kept in “open” status for future travel, provided the airline allows it. If the open ticket is not used within its validity period, it will be forfeited.
9. 24-Hour Risk-Free Cancellation
Bookings referred from our partner websites may be eligible for free cancellation within 24 hours of reservation.
Note: Flyobird.com reserves the right to apply a service fee for booking cancellations, travel date changes, and exchanges of non-refundable tickets.
